Communities and Mentorships
The Office of Residence and Student Life provides robust mentorship and community programs to support first-year students in their transition to university life.
SPROUT Mentorship connects incoming students with upper-year mentors, offering guidance through the summer and beyond.
First-Year Learning Communities (FLCs) unite students with shared academic interests, fostering collaboration, study groups, and academic success. You can apply for them here.
Living Learning Communities (LLCs) provide themed residential experiences centred on Life Sciences, Sustainability, and Innovation & Technology, with tailored events and faculty engagement.
Additionally, commuter students benefit from the support of Commuter Advisors, who organize activities to help them build skills, socialize, and engage with university life.
Through these programs, New College emphasizes personal growth, meaningful connections, and a strong foundation for students to flourish academically and socially.
